Scrub-A-Mutt Fundraising Dog Wash & Dog Fair

Saturday, August 21st • 11AM to 4PM

With the ever popular Poochapalooza – taking a year off, Scrub-A-Mutt will incorporate many of the favorite Pooch activities into our 2010 event.  Bring the entire family, including the dogs – on leash please.  Included will be:

Dog Wash Fundraiser • 11AM – 4PM • Athletic Fields Pavilion:

That’s what Scrub-A-Mutt is all about – washing dogs.  Enter by the soccer fields and sign up for an old fashioned dog wash – the first 150 dogs receive a goodie bag. Donation of $5.00 for small dogs, $10.00 for large dogs and $5.00 for nail trims.  We will have a volunteer staff that includes veterinarians, vet techs, groomers and rescue workers, so your pet is in secure hands.  Scrub-A-Mutt wants to remind dog owners that a well socialized dog is a pleasure to wash.

“Best in Show” Dog Contests • 12 – 2:30PM • Off Leash Dog Park:

Calling all talented dogs!  M-DOG, the volunteer group responsible for the off leash dog park will be hosting this year’s contests.  There are 12 different events with prizes and ribbons for first place winners.  $5.00 donation per dog to enter one or all the contests.  We encourage participants to download and fill out the application before arriving:  Download application here. Dog Vendor & Exhibitor Booths:

From toys and wearables, to gifts and our favorite Rescue Groups – walk the trail of vendors… who knows, you may come home with a new friend!  Want to be a vendor – the Deadline has been extended! Download application here.

Police K9 Demonstration • 3PM • Soccer Field #1:

We are thrilled to have K9 Deputy Bruno and his partner Deputy Fortney from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department providing a K9 demonstration!  Join us to learn a little about these amazing dogs and their job as both law enforcement officer and pet.  For more information on the funding for the K9 program, click here.

Huge Doggie Themed Basket Raffle:

Every year our donors out do themselves… we get the most amazing items.  This year we already have pet portraits, signed wine bottles, and a wonderful array of themed baskets.  Tickets are $1 – buy as many as you want and put them in containers in front of the item you want.  We will do the drawing that afternoon at 4PM. Need not be present to win.

Dog Food Drive • All day by Soccer Fields:

This day is about fun, but also charity.  Bring a can, bring a bag – every little bit helps our neighbors feed their four footed family members.  Please note: Senior dog food is in high demand!  Donations will be given to Old Dog Haven and the Marysville Food Bank.

Food and Fun:

There will food and drink for sale by DaVinci Dogs and drinking stations around the event for your dogs.  We will also have t-shirts, tote bags and more on sale.  Be sure to check out the M-Dog booth and learn how you can be come a steward of the off leash dog park – we all can do our part.

Scrub-A-Mutt will be held at the Strawberry Fields Athletic Park and Strawberry Fields for Rover off-leash dog park. The address is 6100 152nd Street NE, Marysville.
