Scrub-a-Mutt

Our Causes

We wish our checkbook was bigger and we could give to everyone, but Scrub-A-Mutt looked in their own backyard and discovered some really great groups that work with a variety of canine causes.

olddoghaven1Old Dog Haven is a small nonprofit group that provides loving and safe homes for abandoned senior dogs. Whether it’s finding a forever home for older but healthy dogs, or a final refuge home for senior dogs needing a special place to live out the remainder of their lives, Old Dog Haven’s work is demanding, rewarding and expensive.  They currently care for over 150 dogs from the Canadian border to Vancouver, Washington.  Foster parents and donors keep their organization running.  Old Dog Haven keeps its doors open through donations and we are happy to help!  You can read about many of their successes on their website at www.olddoghaven.org

noahThe Northwest Organization for Animal Help (NOAH) works with area animal shelters to rescue dogs and cats that run out of time in traditional shelters and give them another chance at finding a forever home. Their beautifully designed facility off of I-5 in Stanwood, Washington offers a pleasant atmosphere with ‘dog suites’ and ‘cat colonies.’ A state-of-the-art veterinary clinic focuses on controlling pet overpopulation, with free or low-cost spay and neuter surgery for pet owners with a limited income.  Be sure to visit the NOAH Center or for more information www.thenoahcenter.org

The Everett Animal Shelter cares for and houses lost or unwanted pets from Everett and most of Snohomish County.  The shelter staff and its volunteers work to prepare unwanted animals for adoption.  Everett Animal Services works to return lost animals to owners, provides shelter and care to lost or unwanted animals and finds new homes for adoptable pets. Everett Animal Services cares for nearly 9,000 animals each year including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, birds, and a variety of other species.

Working with the Everett Animal Shelter is the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).  ARF’s mission is improve the quality of life for companion animals and their caretakers in Snohomish County through increased community involvement and fundraising with and for the Everett Animal Shelter.
